What can I say about my very best friend and her family? It brings me SO.MUCH joy capturing them. I met Jess in first year at Laurier University. Not only were we in the same dorm but we both played on the Varsity Hockey team so we literally spent every single day together and lived together for the following 3 years after first year. Honestly, I’m pretty sure we became instant best friends. We had the same type of humour, same taste in music, and she was my perfect match as she kept me in line. I remember her and I hopping in her car and taking long drives just listening to our favourite music and talking. OH, I should also mention she’s the one who introduced me to my now husband, so I guess I should be extra grateful for her.
Fast forward more schooling for both of us, living in different cities for many years, they finally landed in Ottawa and live just a short drive away from us. She’s the one I can tell anything to, she’s the one who gives great advice, she’s the sounding board, she’s the level headed one, she’s the one I trust with absolutely anything.
Watching her become a mom has been amazing. She’s so patient and gives these kids so much love all while working full time. There’s nothing better than having second generation friendships and watching our kids play together and form their own friendships has been so special. I brought my boys to the photoshoot and sweet Eden couldn’t stop hugging Myles, it melted my heart so dang much.
Here’s to another 2 decades of memories together, I love you guys so friggin much!
Guys, how cute are these kids???
