Cousins are said to be your first friends. That is true for me. We were lucky enough to live a block away from some of our cousins and when I think back to my childhood they are such a big part of it. So many days spent together swimming, family bbq’s, walking to school together. I never would have thought I’d end up living in Ottawa just a short drive away from one of those cousins. Life is busy for us all so we don’t see each other often but there’s nothing that brings me more joy than being able to give them these memories to keep forever.
We met up at the Kanata Rec Centre for their annual photos and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We had the most beautiful evening and these kids kept me laughing. They are so full of life and energy just like kids should be. Older sister, Audrey, has such a way with them. They look up to and respond so well to her. It was so fun seeing the different interactions and playfulness take place so authentically.
